2. Anxious Breakfast Club—This is Not Shenkeng
by Chen Yingying, Shi Xinhao, Huang Huiwen, Ou Yanzhen, and Li Jiazhen

"This is Not Shenkeng" is one of the students' final creative projects. It is a virtual reality (VR) game themed around Shenkeng, distilling its historical essence while adding a modern VR multimedia gaming platform as the creative medium. The title "This is Not Shenkeng" is designed to evoke a reverse exploration of local history, encouraging active engagement in recreating Shenkeng's identity rather than passively understanding it. The game challenges players to reconstruct and reshape the landscape of Shenkeng.
(1)Story Synopsis
As you arrive, a block of tofu mold appears before you, revealing an unfamiliar land devoid of buildings or people. This place is Shenkeng. No, this is not Shenkeng—at least, not yet. Your hands will transform this place. Through gameplay, you will drive the evolution of this land until the Shenkeng becomes familiar to us all.
(2) Creative Concept
Modern-day Shenkeng has long lost its original cultural depth with the passage of time. Numerous efforts have been undertaken to convey its traditional history via books, websites, and videos; however, these initiatives have achieved limited success in capturing people's attention. We aimed to tackle the core problems of generational disconnect and diminished relevance as the primary factors.
(3) Art Design
2D Design: The artwork draws inspiration from species that are unique to Taiwan, featuring a charming, anthropomorphized chibi art style.
3D Design: We drew inspiration from iconic buildings in the Shenkeng area, as well as nostalgic toys and snacks from local corner shops, to convey the vibrancy of Shenkeng to players, imbuing it with a sense of retro charm.

3. "Part-Time Fun in Shenkeng"
by Jiang Jiarong, Chen Zihao, Cai Yizhen, Zhuo Jiayu, Wang Tingyu, Huang Yumou

(1) Storyline
I am a university freshman, committed to funding my tuition by working part-time at my favorite stinky tofu shop! The elderly shop owner appeared warm and welcoming initially, but after several days of watching, I realized he had a peculiar interest in puzzle games. In fact, he would reset the front door's key every day!
One stormy night, I accidentally dozed off at the shop. When I woke up and ran to the door, all I found was a note left by the old man. Damn it, you and your "pit" of a shop!
I must escape before the shopkeeper finds out I slept here—if he catches me, I'll be in serious trouble. With a nervous heart, I embark on the path to find the key and unlock the door before it's too late.
(2)Production Process
In designing the game, we took inspiration from the arrangement of modern old street storefronts and merged them with classic furniture to create a contrast between the past and the present. Furthermore, components such as the "Four Treasures of Shenkeng" were included to elevate the ambiance and improve player engagement, offering a more profound insight into local culture.
