●Planning Objective:
To investigate the incorporation of game elements to enhance digital value.
1. Develop Problem-Solving Skills Students will develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills through resource management, strategic planning, and responses to market dynamics in game design. Students will develop the ability to analyze and address complex issues in gaming, including resource shortages and market demand fluctuations.
2. Enhance Teamwork and Collaboration Establishing a learning environment that incorporates both cooperation and competition enables students to collaborate in teams to accomplish game design tasks, thereby enhancing their coordination and communication skills within a group setting. The collaborative and competitive aspects of game design reflect the complexities of teamwork in real-world scenarios.
3. Improve Practical Skills and Project Management Abilities Students will develop and implement a comprehensive game project, encompassing design, testing, feedback, and optimization phases. This process enables the development of skills in project management, resource allocation, and adaptation to changing variables.

1. Practical, Hands-On Learning This course focuses on hands-on practice so that students can put what they've learned about game design into practice. Students will not only learn about how to make games, but they will also plan, create, and make their own full board games. During this process, students use what they've learned to solve problems and get better at being creative.
2. Interdisciplinary Integration Numerous disciplines, such as economics, cultural history, art and design, mathematics, and management, are addressed in the course. In addition to acquiring the specialized knowledge of game design, students will also have the opportunity to investigate disciplines such as market economics, cultural preservation, and data analysis, thereby fostering the integration and application of cross-disciplinary knowledge.
3. Promoting Local Economic Development The game draws attention to the area's distinctive traits by recreating the tofu industry and business operations on Shenkeng Old Street, promoting tourism and commercial prosperity. "Shenkeng Culinary Memory Cards" is a family-friendly tabletop game in which players match cards showcasing well-known Shenkeng delicacies while learning about their unique traits and origins. By including Shenkeng Old Street's food culture, the game attempts to improve players' understanding of local cuisine and memory skills.
(2) Game Objective:
Players gain points by matching exactly similar culinary cards. Every good match gives athletes more knowledge about the cultural basis of that specific cuisine. Declared the winner is the player having the highest score at game's conclusion.
(3) Educational and Social Impact:

The game encourages local identity and cultural preservation by helping one to better appreciate Shenkeng Old Street's gastronomic legacy.

Shenkeng Maze is a board game with Old Street Showdown combining strategy, maze exploration, and competitiveness. Players negotiate the maze of Shenkeng Old Street in the roles of several species—humans, cats, mice—collecting ingredients for stinky tofu. Each species has distinct powers and qualities, yet they also oppose one another. Players must avoid predators while gathering the essential ingredients, and the first to successfully prepare the stinky tofu is crowned the "Shenkeng Culinary Champion."
(2) Game Objective
The goal is for players to navigate the Shenkeng Old Street maze, gather all of the components for stinky tofu, and finish the recipe. Throughout the game, players must avoid predators, gather resources, and tactically use species-specific abilities to defeat their opponents. The first player who successfully makes the stinky tofu wins.
(3) Game Experience
《Old Street Showdown: Shenkeng Maze is not only a competitive and exciting strategy game, but it also has the local flavor of Shenkeng Old Street, allowing players to immerse themselves in Taiwanese culture and cuisine. The game stresses player interaction and teamwork, so each session is unpredictable and exciting.

3. "A Trip to Shenkeng"

(1) Game Concept
The board game A Trip to Shenkeng takes place in Taiwan's Shenkeng Old Street. The players are travelers who go to different places of Shenkeng, gather different goods and ingredients, and then trade them at the Old Street Exchange. Players must adjust their strategies according to market fluctuations, efficiently manage resources, and make trades to become the wealthiest person in Shenkeng Old Street.
(2) Game Strategies and Challenges
Market Forecast:
Players need to anticipate which product prices will rise or fall in the upcoming turn based on market demand cards, allowing them to invest or sell at optimal times to maximize profits.
Resource Management:
Each player has a limited number of coins and resources, so they have to carefully balance what they buy and sell to avoid running out and make the most money possible.
Event Responses:
Random events in the market cause it to be unpredictable, so players have to quickly change their tactics to deal with sudden changes in prices or shortages of goods.
Character Abilities:
Players can use the special skills that come with the characters they choose to get an edge in the market by getting things like trade discounts or extra actions during events.

4. “Midnight in Shenkeng" —

(1)Game Concept
"Midnight in Shenkeng" is an exciting adventure board game where players are high school students on Shenkeng Old Street at midnight, taking part in a test of their courage. Players have to look for certain things or complete tasks in the dark alleys of the old street while avoiding ghosts and other dangers that appear out of nowhere. Strange and scary things happen throughout the game, adding to the tension and excitement. The winner completes all bravery tasks first.
(2)Game Objective
The scary jobs have to be done in the dark of Shenkeng Old Street while players try not to get scared or caught by ghosts. The winner of the courage challenge is the player who completes all tasks. They receive the title of the most resilient high school student.
(3)Game Objectives and Experience
"Midnight in Shenkeng" focuses on horror and adventure while also allowing players to experience the strange atmosphere of Shenkeng Old Street at night. The game's random events and character attributes make each playthrough challenging and surprising, putting players' courage and decision-making skills to the test in a horrific setting.
